The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded the city of 欧美巨乳色情片 a $1.38-million grant to improve the safety and efficiency of its intersections.

The funding comes from the Strengthening Mobility and Revolutionizing Transportation (SMART) program and will support the Connected 欧美巨乳色情片 Emergency Vehicle Preemption Pilot Program, which is part of the 鈥溑访谰奕樯槠 on the Go鈥 transportation master plan. This program will provide new technology for intersections that prioritize firetrucks, UCHealth ambulances聽and snowplows at traffic lights.

Additionally, the new technology will also be able to detect vulnerable people like pedestrians, wheelchair users and cyclists at intersections and also help transit buses stay on schedule with traffic signal priority.

鈥淎s 欧美巨乳色情片 grows, we must use innovative and creative technology to maintain our public safety standards,鈥 Director of Public Works Paul Trombino said in a release. “This funding will help us improve response times for emergency vehicles and snowplows. We鈥檒l also make our streets safer by improving detection and warning systems for vulnerable road users like pedestrians. It’s a key component of our larger vision to create a transportation system that works for everyone.鈥

The city will install devices at 43 intersections and provide 50 city and emergency vehicles with connected technology. When the device detects an equipped vehicle, the traffic light changes to give it priority.

Three of the city’s busiest intersections, 8th Avenue at 10th Street, 10th Avenue at 20th Street and 11th Avenue at 22nd Street, will receive pedestrian detection systems, which will help protect pedestrians when emergency vehicles pass through.

The system will be managed with software from Kapsch TrafficCom. The pilot project will also track real-time traffic data to improve safety over time.

The project is expected to be completed by December.

In addition to being part of the city鈥檚 鈥溑访谰奕樯槠 on the Go鈥 transportation master plan, this project also supports the Vision Zero goal of reducing traffic crashes and fatalities across the city. For more information about these projects, residents can visit聽.
